It’s a POMEGRANATE!   
The Latin name for this delicious fruit is ‘Malum granatum’, meaning ‘grainy apple’, although botanically pomegranates are actually berries.
Originally, the pomegranate fruit has been grown in South-East Asia, the Mediterranean, and the tropical parts of Northern Africa, for example Morocco. However, a few centuries ago it was introduced to North America, and is currently quite popular in California and Arizona. 
Nowadays, this tropical fruit is easily found in grocery stores and supermarkets all over the world.
